"Passfire..." is the product of more than three years of intensive and committed efforts to create a comprehensive overview of the global appreciation for the cultural, religious and celebratory artistic expression of fireworks that ignites our imagination and senses in a most marvelous way. It is a universal language that is portrayed in the faces of people all over the world as they experience a fireworks display. It is an artistic form like no other that is filled with dedication, passion, creativity and love. It is done for the shear joy of eliciting pleasure, excitement and showing tribute and respect for cultures and peoples across the world and the things they hold dear. The glimpse into each culture and their unique fireworks artistry and craft makes me want to learn more. I hope that a series focusing on individual fireworks cultures is born from this film. It is a great way to see the world through different lenses, and yet to see the commonality among all human kind. Congratulations to the Veverka Bros. for producing an excellent one of a kind documentary film. ------------------------------------- 5.0 out of 5 stars: Pass The Fire, Please! By Building Guy on September 19, 2016 I picked up my copy at this years PGI convention in La Porte Indiana from Jesse and am thrilled with the end result. They take you on a trip throughout the world, touching base in every country that makes and uses pyrotechnics in cultural events, celebrations and shows the up close and personal. Cut into smaller chapters, this movie sets up a series of pyro shows, whether movies or a TV series, that will go into deeper detail, hopefully covering events and celebrations from start to finish. If you know NOTHING about fireworks, this will be a great movie for you and your friends/family to see to learn about what you see on the 4th of July. If you make fireworks or are even in the industry, you will love seeing the faces of those you know around the world that have smelt the smoke and will never be free again!
