Maximum Load gives you the most wild, powerful and in-depth look into the world of fireworks today. Touching stories, sizzling footage of mind blowing fireworks and the larger-than-life characters that make it all possible, delivered to you in stunning 4K!

In 2016, Veverka Bros. Productions LLC released the long-awaited feature-length documentary film Passfire, which told the story of fireworks in 23 countries on six continents around the world. Then in 2017 we released the follow-up documentary series, Passfire The Series: Season 1 and in 2018 we released Passfire The Series: Season 2.

Passfire Maximum Load (PFML) takes it to the next level with a fresh fireworks-focused documentary series that features all-new footage, engaging subjects, compelling stories, and is all shot in 4K. Think of it as the difference between a small firecracker and a huge salute that rattles windows a mile away.

From building the world's biggest Guinness World Record shell and an esoteric Buddhist ritual that involves throwing strings of huge firecrackers at participants, to launching 50 foot rockets in Japan and winning the world’s most preeminent display competition, we cover some of the most exciting topics in fireworks.

We spent more than two years filming and over a year editing Maximum Load. It’s six episodes PLUS a full length feature film.

That's right: Maximum Load includes six long-format episodes plus a 90-minute feature length documentary. That’s over four and a half hours of content, not even counting special features. It’s all shot in 4K, with strong storylines, engaging subjects, and fantastic depth – it’s the best work we’ve ever done.
